We provide an independent, professional construction cost advice service to built environment clients through the professional business of quantity surveying.

 

The consultancy combines the collective experience of two Senior Quantity Surveyor Directors with over 40 years of experience. The consultancy further combines traditional quantity surveying skills with extensive, cost engineering knowledge and project controls to provide clients with a value-added cost management and advisory service. We have previously been awarded projects within the built environment, ranging from small to large, and covering a wide variety of categories of work. Our client base spans the private and public sectors and, includes both large corporations and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

BUILDING AND ASSET EVALUATION – We are an experienced provider of project cost monitoring. Our service provides clients with ongoing independent professional advice with reassurance through our project cost monitoring process. Insurance Replacement Valuations Whether insuring a newly constructed building or an existing property, it is important for clients to ensure that their building’s insurance policy includes an appropriate value for replacement. Typically, policies consider a range of scenarios including damage and partial replacement and also total loss situation. Our service provides a concise report with detailed cost analysis and recommendations for insurable value. Our team offers asset evaluation services for buildings and engineering services throughout the property life continuum.

COST ENGINEERING AND MEGA PROJECT COST CONTROL – The experience of the directors within the engineering and mega-projects sectors has allowed deep insight into the working of cost control and project controls within governmental and state-owned entities. This ensures correct allocation of various cost elements and cost coding for accurate financial accounting practices when capitalising assets. With National treasuries requirements within the SIPDM (Standard for Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management) Financial Verification delivery methods have seen an increase in the requirement for a certification of payments and variations by professional quantity surveyors.

TECHNICAL DUE DILIGENCE – We undertake an independent building inspection that examines the condition-based issues with a property at acquisition or divestment. Our service extends from a high-level report highlighting risk to detailed inspection and reporting providing a deeper understanding of a building’s quality and condition.

LIFE CYCLE COSTING – otherwise known as Total Cost of Ownership is a service we pride ourselves in providing. We feel it needs to be considered as the core of all state and governmental projects in order to realise the goals of sustainable upliftment and empowerment. Our skill and expertise in this area allows us the ability to consider socio-economic aspects of life-cycle costing and the impact this has on the projects financial model as a whole.

CONSTRUCTION QUANTITY SURVEYING – Our all-round expertise allows us to support SMME’s within the construction sector to manage the Quantity Surveying divisions of construction companies from tender or negotiation stage to completion and handover. We believe with this speciality we are remain well informed regarding the cost drivers which affect the construction companies and thereby impact the end user or clients. This further allows us greater accuracy during concept and design development phase to ensure a market related estimate when forecasting.
